Meet Robin Dicka: Caring for people has been at the heart of Robins career for nearly three decades. Today, she serves as Director of Nursing and Branch Manager for Adoration Home Healths Charlotte office, leading an incredible team while making sure patients receive exceptional care in their own homes. It is busy, challenging, rewarding work, and according to Robin, there is never a dull moment.
At home, Robin is married, mom to a wonderful 22 year old daughter, and the proud roommate of seven Pomeranians who are absolutely convinced they run the household.
Robin has also been an active member of Residents of Historic Concord for eight years and currently serves as a board member and Vice President. She has participated in the RHC Home Tour three times, welcoming hundreds of visitors into her historic Queen Anne Victorian to experience a little Christmas magic. The house has also become a favorite Halloween stop for neighborhood kids and their parents. For Robin, being part of a community that celebrates history, creativity, and bringing people together is one of the best parts of calling Concord home.
As for her dance experience, Robins formal training was short but illustrious: one year of ballet at age eight. After that, her dance education consisted mostly of her own highly creative choreography on college dance floors. So technically, Dancing for the Arts marks Robins return from a very long retirement.
This year, Robin is ready to see what happens when her long retired dance floor career gets a second act on the Dancing for the Arts stage. With a little choreography, a lot of enthusiasm, and perhaps some of that college dance floor creativity, we have a feeling her return to dance is going to be worth the wait.
Getting to know Robin:
Whats your go-to karaoke songor the one youd sing if you had to?
Home Sweet Home by Mötley Crüe. If Im being handed a microphone, apparently were going full 1980s power ballad.
If you had to give a TED Talk on something completely unrelated to your job, what would you talk about?
Cybersecurity! Im fascinated by the world of hackers, digital investigations, artificial intelligence, and figuring out how to stay one step ahead of the bad guys. I could happily talk about it for hoursalthough I promise my TED Talk would make passwords more exciting than they sound.
What was your dream job as a kid?
I wanted to be a singer and performer on Broadway. So being part of Dancing for the Arts feels a little like eight-year-old Robin finally getting her moment in the spotlightjust a few decades later!
Robin is paired with Chris Firth who has 25 years of professional dance experience. Specializing in lyrical, ballroom and show dance blocking, Chris works with Dance Dreams Studio in Kannapolis.
You can support Robin and Chris by making a donation and spreading the word. Then mark your calendar forNovember 7, 2026, when they'll light up the stage at the Davis Theatre!

The Cabarrus Arts Council was founded in 1980 in response to the North Carolina Arts Council's plan to establish a local arts council in every county. In 1982 the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners selected the arts council to serve as its Designated County Partner, receiving and distributing Grassroots funding from the state and the state arts council.
Today the arts council programs and operates the Davis Theatre and The Galleries, conducts one of North Carolina's largest art-in-education programs for both the Cabarrus County and Kannapolis City school systems, supports arts organizations and artists through grants and workshops and serves as a catalyst and consultant for public and corporate art.
